HR Strategic Excellence
A New Foundation for the Changing HR Function
HR is no longer just about delivering services. Today’s HR must focus on improving decisions that impact business results. Has your HR function shifted its focus to become an essential leader in business strategy?
Sets the Foundation
The HR Strategic Excellence Framework, developed by Dr. John Boudreau and Peter Ramstad, is a road map that can provide your organization with a new foundation for building a more strategic, effective and impactful HR function.
With the framework your HR department will:
- Shift focus to improving talent decisions that effect business results.
- Design distinctive approaches to support organizational strategy.
- Learn to develop and communicate strong, teachable points-of-view so leaders make smarter decisions about people.
- Implement metrics that measure the quality and impact of decisions.
The Strategic Excellence Framework is based on five factors:
- Purpose—addresses the fundamental mission of HR
- Talent Resource Analysis—examination of talent available and specifically how talent drives strategy execution
- Functional Strategy—the design of the HR organization, differentiating strategies for different talent pools and the annual plan for the HR function
- Integrated Execution—HR infrastructure, programs and metrics
- Professional HR Talent—building HR’s skills and capacities
Together with your PDI consultant, you will identify which areas your organization needs to focus on to get the maximum results. The framework can be used to guide both short and long-term improvement.
